development – decoupage magnet board: finished and hung!

October 26, 2008 by delightsgal

Here it is…my long awaited magnet-board from our Super Tuesday craft session.  I finished it this afternoon.  Hanging between our kitchen and laundry room, it will hold all kinds of treasures from photos to invites, and my many lists…

For my first decoupage, I really enjoyed the process.  Using some of my favorite mail catalogues: Anthropologie, & Pottery Barn for my decoupage paper.  (The designer was soo happy to see my precious magazines going to good use).  Choosing the background color scheme, cutting out fun patterns into letters that compile to read: “Marriage is a joint quest for the good, the beautiful, and the divine.”  It’s a rather nice addition to the very large white wall. :)

What should I decoupage next…?

    • delight – family portraits November 9, 2009
About a month ago, we went up the neighboring canyon and enjoyed some of the Season’s last leaves.  A tripod, and rapid-fire on my camera made all the difference.  The funniest photos were between settings.  We had put the kiddos in the back of the car to drive a little farther down the canyon.  The kiddos each [...]

The builder has discovered his new favorite medium for building: duct tape.    He’s been busy creating boats, hideouts, tents, houses and all sorts of fun.  We’ve all been enjoying it…:) After lunch, the designer decided we’re going to need a new roll before the end of the week.  What do your kiddos love to [...]
